Clint McKnight, M.S., LPC


I have been involved in psychotherapy for the past 16 years, and have been working with clients for over a decade. I have trained in diverse types of therapy,  but focus primarily on psychodynamic psychotherapy and existential psychotherapy. They are particularly helpful in dealing with emotional strife or anxiety and a vehicle for gaining knowledge about or understanding oneself, which is key to personal growth.


I have a Bachelor's of Science from Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, OK and a Master of Science

Degree from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, OK.


Over the years I've worked in higher education, for non profits, and with church organizations and businesses. This varied background gives me a good foundation for career counseling, executive coaching and professional development.


I am currently accepting Oklahoma residents for private pay sessions. All sessions at this time are virtual.

The practice of purposely bringing one's attention to the present moment - without evaluation.

Psychoeducation

Psychotherapy is the use of psychological methods during regular personal interaction to help you change behavior, increase happiness, or overcome problems. Psychoeducation takes psychotherapy and creates a systematic intervention and integrates emotional and motivational methods to help a person gain awareness and cope with difficulty.

Existential Psychotherapy

Universally applicable concepts for all humans are death, freedom, responsibility, and purpose or meaning in life.  By exploring these concepts and how the affect a person's daily life we can gain the tools needed to meet challenges we face.

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Each one of us is the sum of our experiences. The secret is discovering how those experiences interrelate. Psychodynamic therapy utilizes therapeutic interaction to help reveal unconscious content which may be causing an inner conflict that results in extreme stress of emotional hardship.
